Following Anne Hathaway's confirmation on Oprah earlier this week that she indeed will play Catwoman in the upcoming film, a source apparently close to production has leaked details to the plot.
The rumors, which have yet to be confirmed, are that Catwoman will team up with Batman to fight against the League of Shadows, which will be headed by Talia Al Ghul, the daughter of the antagonist of Batman Begins, Ra's Al Ghul. It has also been reported that Tom Hardy will play Al Ghul's love interest, Bane, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play an unnamed antagonist within the League.
The new characters would add to a long list of movie-adapted characters from the Batman comic series. The Dark Knight Rises would be the seventh installment in a disjointed Batman major motion picture series that has seen four different actors play Batman and a wide variety of villains.
